Penguin Random House Children’s has acquired a YA thriller from debut writer and poet Savannah Brown.
The Truth About Keeping Secrets, set to publish in February 2019, is a high-school thriller set in Ohio, where a 17-year-old suspects the death of her psychiatrist father was not an accident.
Editorial director Holly Harris bought world rights from Richard Pike at C&W Agency is a two-book deal. The second book, as yet untitled, will be released in 2020.
Harris said: “Savannah is a truly gifted writer and I fell in love this book from the first page. The Truth About Keeping Secrets is a beautifully written and addictive read, and we at PRHC all feel very privileged to be the home of this talented young author.”
