Penguin Random House Children’s UK (PRH) will this autumn republish classic books by Noel Streatfeild, John Boyne and Theresa Breslin as part of a new partnership with Imperial War Museums (IWM).
The three books to launch the partnership - Remembrance by Breslin, Stay Where You Are and Then Leave by Boyne and A Vicarage Family by Streatfeild - show the varied impact of the First World War on British lives, according to PRH Children’s. They will be published in hardback, priced at £9.99, with jacket artwork by Lesley Barnes, and will feature forwards from a contemporary author as well as contextual introductions from an IWM curator.
Francesca Dow, m.d. of PRH Children’s, said: “We are hugely excited to be partnering with the IWM, one of the most important and poignant collections in the world, and committed to reaching new generations and inspiring them with wartime stories and voices. We will be creating an imaginative, exciting choice of books to inspire children of all ages and help them understand and learn about our important wartime history.”
The partnership will officially launch in September 2018 and will include non-fiction projects, picture books, postcard boxes and more fiction titles.
