Omnibus Press has appointed Neal Price as sales and marketing director starting from 11th September. He will replace David Stock, the current commercial director, who will be stepping into a new role within the Wise Music Group later this year.
Price said: “I’m very happy to be joining Omnibus Press as sales and marketing director. Having the opportunity to lead the commercial aspirations of such a creative and eclectic list of beautifully produced books is a dream come true for me. It brings together my love of books and my passion for music.
"I’m excited to be working with such a dedicated and smart team as we build on the unique position Omnibus Press holds as the world’s foremost contemporary music focused publisher.”
Currently at Michael O’Mara Books, Price previously worked for Faber & Faber from 2004–2015 where he held the position of UK sales director before moving into the role of sales director at Canongate for five years.
Stock commented: “Neal brings with him a wealth of experience from some of the leading independent publishers and, together with his drive, ambition and strong commercial background, will be integral to the growth of the business in these challenging but exciting times.”
Omnibus was launched in 1972 as part of the Music Sales Group (now Wise Music Group), a family-run independent music publisher with approximately 25 new books a year and a backlist of over 300 titles in print.
