Puffin to publish musical edition of Tom Fletcher’s Creakers

PRH division Puffin Books will next year publish a ‘musical’ edition of Tom Fletcher’s The Creakers with a CD and prompts telling readers when to listen to the songs.

The Creakers: The Musical Edition will publish in March 2019 (h/b, £14.99) with a CD of 10 original songs written by Fletcher and performed by Fletcher and performers such as the theatre actress Carrie Hope Fletcher and the group Chapter 13.

Fletcher said: “Music is a huge part of my life and I’m incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to write and record songs to bring my books to life. I hope everyone who listens to them enjoys them and that the music brings a new level of creepy, spooky, disgusting fun to the story.”

Last year Puffin published a musical edition of another Fletcher novel, The Christmasaurus, which sold 47,000 copies, according to the publisher.
