Puffin Books has snapped up an activity book version of US actor and author B J Novak's The Book with No Pictures (Puffin).
Editorial director Anna Barnes Robinson acquired UK and Commonwealth rights from Helen Boomer vice-president, subsidiary rights of Dial Books for Young Readers.
The interactive fill-in-the-blanks activity book, My Book with No Pictures, will be published on 19th November.
Barnes Robinson said: "B J Novak’s revolutionary debut was an incredible, disruptive force in the picture book world when it first published. We are so excited to be publishing this follow-up, an activity book that continues to turn the tables of power and will I know bring even more anarchic, laugh-out-loud fun to families everywhere."
Published in 2014, The Book with No Pictures was a New York Times bestseller and has sold 62,148 copies in paperback and 20,840 in hardback in the UK through Nielsen, with two million copies in print worldwide, according to Puffin.
The actor, well known for his work on NBC’s Emmy Award-winning comedy series "The Office" as a writer, actor, director, and executive producer, is also known for his work as a standup comedian and films such as Quentin Tarantino’s "Inglourious Basterds" and Disney’s "Saving Mr. Banks" as well as his New York Times bestselling book of short stories, One More Thing: Stories and Other Stories (Knopf). He is a graduate of Harvard University with a degree in English and Spanish literature.
