Demeter Scanlon and Isabella Danilczuk have joined Quadrille as part of an expansion of its marketing and communications team. Quadrille has also promoted Laura Eldridge.
Scanlon joins the company from 1st July in the newly created role of associate marketing director, North America. She will lead Quadrille’s marketing and communications strategy in the US for books publishing from January 2025, working closely with Quadrille’s US distribution partner, Chronicle Books. Scanlon was previously head of campaigns at Ebury Food and Lifestyle, where she worked on bestselling campaigns such as Bored of Lunch, Ottolenghi, Rick Stein, Julius Roberts and Fitwaffle. She will be based primarily in New York but will also spend time in Chronicle’s San Francisco offices.
Eldridge moves from senior marketing manager to head of marketing, effective from 1st July. Eldridge has worked on bestselling titles, such as the TV tie-in for James Martin and "The Great British Sewing Bee", all of Becky Excell’s Sunday Times bestselling books, as well the updated edition of Mel B’s Brutally Honest. Alongside her campaign work, Eldridge is responsible for the company’s industry-leading consumer insight and marketing strategies.
Danilczuk, previously at Sauce Communications, Waitrose and W Communications, recently joined the company in another newly created role of campaigns officer, reporting to senior publicity manager Ruth Tewkesbury. Danilczuk will work across all titles and will lead marketing and communications strategy for the company’s newly announced Create Quad.
The expansion follows Quadrille’s restructure early last year to bring the marketing and communications teams together under the leadership of marketing and communications director Laura Willis and the hire of head of communications Alice Hill. Scanlon, Eldridge and Hill all report to Willis.
In October 2023, PRH UK acquired Quadrille from its Australian parent group and, in May, announced that the publisher’s internal structure would move into four new category-led publishing homes. The "Quadrille Quadrants"—Taste, Create, Now and Life —bring together books, authors, and in-house teams across editorial, publicity and marketing. The marketing and communications team will continue to work across all titles, with each also being a designated Quad lead.
