The Quarto Group has appointed Rocket Licensing to develop a range of Little People, Big Dreams products, including clothes, games and puzzles, dress-up, publishing and stationery.
The bestselling picture book series was created by Maria Isabel Sánchez Vegara. It was first published in 2016 under Quarto imprint Frances Lincoln Children’s Books. The publisher said it has now sold more than 7.5 million copies worldwide and been published in more than 35 languages.
The series explores the lives of outstanding people through illustrated biographies for readers aged 3-7. The subjects of the books range from designers and artists to scientists and activists.
The Quarto Group and Rocket have developed a new style guide which will be available for licensing partners, utilising IP from the brand itself.
Shannon Cullen, group publishing director for children’s at the Quarto Group, said: “We are so proud of the way our bestselling series has inspired children all over the world to achieve their dreams. It’s an exciting opportunity to be working with Rocket and our series creator, Maria Isabel Sánchez Vegara, on bringing these stories to life off the page.”
Charlie Donaldson, joint m.d. at Rocket Licensing, added: “Little People, Big Dreams is a unique and inspirational brand, which brings history and culture to life for the younger generation in a fun, bright and colourful way. We’re looking forward to bringing the property into the homes and lives of children across a wide range of consumer products with an educational, fun design.”
