The Quarto Group is relocating to the Southbank this autumn from its premises at The Old Brewery in Islington.
The London team, which has been headquartered at The Old Brewery for the past 40 years, will be based at the One Triptych Place development. The publisher said the move “is a significant statement of intent and will facilitate the company’s growth plans” under new c.e.o. Alison Goff.
One Triptych Place is designed by Squire & Partners, and is situated next to the Tate Modern and Shakespeare’s Globe, with Somerset House and St Paul’s Cathedral just across the water.
The Quarto Group will take over the whole of the second floor. The new office will include large collective spaces for events, workshops and creative meetings, alongside smaller areas and quiet spaces.
There are bike racks, showers, and lockers for those running or cycling to work, and a café on the ground floor. A cultural centre, green spaces and retailers are also part of the complex. The proximity to London Bridge will also give The Quarto Group Brighton team easier and quicker access to the London office, the publisher said.
Goff commented: “Our new office will provide the opportunity to widen our creative horizons, foster the creativity of our talented teams, adopt a more meaningful, flexible and future-proof way of working and enhance the collaboration with all our authors, illustrators, agents, customers and partners worldwide.”
