Quercus has promoted publicity director Hannah Robinson to the new role of communications director where she will oversee the company’s publicity and marketing teams from July.
Robinson joined Quercus in 2013 and has worked on campaigns for Elly Griffiths, Beth O’Leary, J P Delaney and Geraint Thomas.
Prior to joining Quercus she was at Ebury where she worked on celebrity non-fiction, brands such as Strictly Come Dancing and the fiction list.
She will continue to report to Quercus m.d. Jon Butler, who said: “This is one of the easiest decisions I’ve ever made. Hannah is a fantastically gifted and experienced publicity director and an important voice on the Quercus board.
“She’s also one of the best pure managers I’ve ever worked with, recruiting and running a talented, motivated and highly professional team. With our current marketing director Bethan Ferguson moving to a new role within Hachette, it’s a no-brainer for Hannah to step up and lead both publicity and marketing, to set our strategy for future success and to further develop an enormously strong team of publicists and marketers.”
Robinson said: “I am going to miss working with Bethan enormously but I am excited about this new challenge to bring the Quercus publicity and marketing teams even closer together. My publicity and marketing colleagues are second to none and I am looking forward to recruiting a new marketing director to lead the marketing team on to even greater things.”
