Quercus has promoted Ella Patel, Emily Patience and Siobhán Peters in its communications team and recruited Alex Haywood from Hachette.
Patel has become head of fiction publicity, reflecting "the outstanding contribution she has made to Quercus’ Fiction and Arcadia lists", with the latter launched earlier this year. She was recently shortlisted for a PPC Annual Award for her "A Year of Elly Griffiths" with Joe Christie.
Patience has been promoted to senior publicity manager. She was a part of the team behind this year’s bestselling campaigns for Financial Joy and Rebel Bakes as well as working with Patel on Kristen Perrin’s How to Solve Your Own Murder. Alongside Patel, she will continue to report to Elizabeth Masters, publicity director.
Peters has been promoted from campaigns manager to senior marketing manager, with a focus on non-fiction, taking on a direct report.
Haywood joins the team this week as marketing manager. She will focus on fiction campaigns and the imprint marketing strategy for Arcadia, Quercus’ newly relaunched SFF imprint. Haywood reports to Peters, who in turn reports to Ella Horne, marketing director.
