Sigrid Rausing is stepping down as editor of Granta Magazine, after nearly a decade helming the indie publication.
Rausing, who is the proprietor of Granta, took full operational and executive control of Granta Publications, following the departure of Philip Gwyn Jones from the executive publisher role in 2013.
She tweeted: "After nearly 10 years, I am stepping down as Granta’s editor. It’s been a huge privilege—the best job in the world—but now it is someone else’s turn! I’m excited to see the applications."
Rausing has a PhD in post-Soviet anthropology, and is a published author. Her memoir, Mayhem (Hamish Hamilton), which explores the impact of addiction on a family, was longlisted for the Wellcome Prize in 2018.
