Communications agency Read Media has rebranded to Read Maxwell Communications following its merger with Maxwell PR last year.
Claire Maxwell of Maxwell PR and Katie Read, founder of Read Media, have been working together since the merger in April 2023.
Along with the new branding and website, the agency has launched the Read Maxwell Speaker’s Bureau, a roster of professionals available to give talks. The list includes investigative journalist and author of The Great Post Office Scandal (Bath Publishing) Nick Wallis and Kelly Vero, a leading game developer.
Read said: "My new partnership with Claire and the expansion of our team over the past year has enabled the realisation of ideas that have been in development for some time, including the speaker’s agency. We are delighted to be able to finally launch this arm of the business and to move forward with a new brand that reflects our energy and passion for our work."
Maxwell added: "This feels like an exciting big step for us. We believe our new branding represents who we are as an agency now, and who we want to be going forward. As our team and our scope grows, we are committed to keeping authors, individuals and stories at the centre of the work we do. I love this job and I’m very excited to do more of it under our shiny new branding."
The agency has also launched Pitch, a newsletter on Substack, to spotlight author interviews, book extracts and provide publishing industry insight.
Read Maxwell Communications works across non-fiction, illustrated titles, literary fiction, memoir, poetry and cookery. Its clients include Oxford Literary Festival, Kew Publishing, Chelsea Green Publishing and Elliott & Thompson, among others.
