Mills & Boon is partnering with the Reading Agency to celebrate the Royal Wedding.
The HarperCollins romance imprint has collaborated with the literacy charity on the #RoyalRomance campaign to deliver “bespoke Royal Wedding packs” to libraries nationwide, all of which have sold out in 24 hours with 100 libraries signing up.
Mills & Boon has also published two exclusive e-book story collections, A Bride for the Playboy Prince and The Royal Wedding Collection – containing a selection of romantic and steamy stories where princes meet their match, to celebrate Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s nuptials on Saturday (19th May).
The Royal Wedding packs include bunting, poster, bingo cards, balloons and books to encourage libraries to share photos of their displays on wedding day using #RoyalRomance, to win a hamper. Social activity from Mills & Boon channels will be running alongside the wedding, with a downloadable wedding party pack available from its website.
Lisa Milton, executive publisher for Mills & Boon, said: “It doesn’t get more romantic than a Royal Wedding, so who better to celebrate than Mills & Boon, the UK’s number one romance publisher.
“We can’t wait to see the creative library displays and royal wedding parties taking place across the UK to celebrate a real royal romance. Mills & Boon is all about happily ever after, after all.”
A range of publishers have commemorated the wedding including Bonnier Zaffre which announced the e-book publication of romantic comedy, The Royal Wedding, last month as well as a Royal Wedding-themed colouring book from Trapeze revealed in March.
