Quarto's former non-executive director Leslie-Ann Reed will join the board of Bloomsbury in July.
She will join as a non-executive director on 17th July 2019, subject to her appointment at the AGM of the same date. Reed is a chartered accountant and was formerly the c.f.o. of the online auctioneer, Go Industry Dove Bid plc. Until May 2018 she was a non-executive director and chair of the audit committee of the Quarto Group.
Meanwhile Jill Jones will resign from the board on the 17th July 2019 and will not stand for re-election at the 2019 AGM. Jones joined the board in 2013 and became chair of the remuneration committee at the same time.
The board changes come after Bloomsbury’s results for the year ending 28th February 2019 showed “outstanding performance” in the academic and professional division with a 13% increase in revenue growth, as it unveiled a partnership with educational publishers Human Kinetics and Taylor and Francis.
