Caroline Ridding, founder and publisher of Aria, the digital-first imprint of Head of Zeus, has been made redundant from the company.
The redundancy, in November, is understood to have been separate from the job cutbacks announced to staff in December.
Ridding joined Head of Zeus from HarperCollins’ Avon imprint in 2015 to set up Aria, publishing full-length mass-market fiction from new and established authors, predominantly in e-book format.
Aria published its first book in April 2016, with 2018 seeing the imprint produce over 80 books. Top sellers in print editions include Zoe Folbigg’s The Note, which has sold 30,501 copies via Nielsen BookScan’s TCM.
