Ed Ripley, UK sales, marketing and publicity director of Walker Books for the past decade, is leaving the company in April.
His departure forms part of a broader reorganisation of the sales, marketing and publicity departments. No other roles are affected, The Bookseller understands. Discussions are now underway on the new structure. Walker says it is "confident" that will all run smoothly in interim.
Ripley said: “It has been an absolute pleasure to work alongside talented, passionate colleagues as well as so many of Walker’s brilliant authors and illustrators.”
Mike McGrath, commercial director said: “Walker Books the group and I thank Ed for all he has brought to the company in the last 10 years. Ed has successfully built and developed the sales, marketing and publicity teams at Walker to best address the continuous challenges and changes in the trade while at the same time cementing fantastic relationships with customers, authors, illustrators and agents.”
