Hodder Education’s group business operations manager Alyssum Ross is departing the firm after 20 years as part of a restructure.
The company announced her role had been made redundant in a shake-up that creates two new positions - head of production and procurement alongside a head of editorial services.
Ross joined Hodder Education in 1999 as a production and design director and moved up to her current role in 2007. She had previously worked for Reed Illustrated Books.
Lis Tribe, Hodder Education managing director, said: “Having joined a very different Hodder Education as production director back in 1999 Lyssum made a massive impact in every aspect of her role. She has rationalised the division’s supplier base, streamlined our workflows and negotiated agreements which saw print costs held down as well as reduced over two decades.
“As group operations director, she has led both production and editorial teams and she has been instrumental in the integration of several of the companies Hodder Education has acquired over the years.
“Lyssum leaves with our gratitude and every good wish for the future.”
Hodder Education will be recruiting for the new roles in due course.
