The Royal Literary Fund has appointed four new general committee members: Mark Gardiner, Sammia Hamer, Dotti Irvingand Rosalynn Try-Hane.
Gardiner is chief financial officer at Penguin Random House, Hamer is the editorial director at Amazon Publishing, Irving is the founder publishing PR agency Colman Getty and Try-Hane is a writer, film critic and lawyer.
The Royal Literary Fund’s chair Ian Blatchford and c.e.o Edward Kemp said in a joint statement: “We are thrilled to welcome these remarkable individuals to our General Committee of Trustees.
“Their collective expertise, passion for literature, and commitment to diversity will be instrumental in ensuring the Royal Literary Fund reflects the challenges and opportunities that writers face today.”
They added: “These appointments will help us further our mission of supporting professional writers living across the UK and help them adapt to the ever-changing literary world.”
The Royal Literary Fund is a charity which offers a range of grants to professional writers needing short-term to long-term financial support.
