Eleanor Russell and Hannah Wann have been promoted to editorial directors at Piatkus Constable Robinson (PCR) Fiction.
Formerly a commissioning editor for the division, Russell joined the company five years ago as an editorial assistant.
Anna Boatman, publisher of PCR Fiction, said both Russell and Wann had made an "enormous contribution" to the success of the division.
Boatman called Russell "an absolute stalwart of the fiction team". She added: "Her exceptional eye for romance fiction has led to an incredible string of successes on the Piatkus list, from Elle Kennedy to Tessa Bailey to Ana Huang to Dana Schwartz, while her assistance on the Bridgerton novels has been absolutely invaluable."
In her new role, Russell will continue to acquire romance and historical romance titles.
Wann joined the company in 2018 as an assistant editor, working across the Constable and Piatkus lists, launching The Book Club by C J Cooper and Irish Times bestseller Hidden Lies by Rachel Ryan. She also publishes authors including Kate Ellis and Frances Brody. "She is a truly exceptional project manager and has a fantastic eye for new novels in the Book club and thriller areas," Boatman added.
Wann will be looking for titles falling into the book club fiction, thriller and women’s fiction genres.
