Ruth Jones will be embarking on a UK tour to celebrate the publication of her new novel Us Three in a collaboration between events organiser Fane and Transworld.
The tour, combining a Fane-produced theatre tour with bookshop events organised by Transworld, will comprise seven dates across the UK. It begins at London’s Alexandra Palace on 10th May and concludes at Sevenoaks Bookshop on 19th May.
As well as discussing her new novel during her live appearances, Jones will be joined on stage by a special guest interviewer–yet to be announced– or "a far-reaching conversation", also touching on the difference between writing for the small screen and a novel, the art of creating unforgettable characters and her inspirations, as well as "the many theories on the fishing trip" (the the on-going Gavin and Stacy joke which cropped up again in the Christmas special viewed by 18 million fans).
Jones is an award-winning TV writer, BAFTA-nominated actor and bestselling author, best known for her role as Nessa in "Gavin and Stacey" which she co-wrote with James Corden. Her second novel, Us Three is "a moving story about the abiding power of female friendship, told over four decades" and out in May 2020.
Tickets to see her in conversation will become available at noon on 3rd March via www.fane.co.uk/ruth-jones-booktour. A standard ticket is in the region of £20‚Äì25, depending on venue, while a ticket also including her new book is £30‚Äì£35.
