Salt Publishing has appointed Hannah Corbett, former communications director of Simon & Schuster, to develop its publicity strategy.
Corbett will consult on campaigns across all new book publishing at Salt, working closely with authors, agents and booksellers and will "play an important role" in developing the Norfolk-based indie publisher's list. She will also continue to work as an independent publicist on other projects.
Salt director Jen Hamilton-Emery said: “We're delighted to be working with someone as talented as Hannah. She brings enormous depth of experience from her senior positions at Simon & Schuster and Random House and will be a major asset to the team here at Salt. It's an enormous step forward for the business as we continue to develop our list on the back of recent prize successes.”
Corbett said: "Salt are a passionate team producing beautiful books and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with them helping to develop high-profile publicity campaigns and contributing to their exciting development as a leading independent publisher."
