Scholastic's Hennessy joins Welbeck as production director

Welbeck has appointed Clare Hennessy from Scholastic as its new production director.

Hennessy has been senior production manager at Scholastic since 2017 and, before that, spent 10 years in various production roles for Hachette UK. She joins Welbeck on 6th April, the latest in a string of appointments by the publisher.

Julian Shaw, group finance and operations director, said: “I’m delighted that Clare has decided to join Welbeck at such an exciting time. Her innovative approach to book production will greatly assist in our growth strategy as we look to become the UK’s leading independent publisher over the next few years.”
