Liverpool’s longest-running literature festival has revealed its programme for 2019 with Will Self and Kit De Waal joining the line-up.
Jo Brand, Mike Leigh, Peter Tatchell, Munroe Bergdorf, Stuart Maconie, Magid Magid, Helen Pankhurst, Kerry Hudson, Scarlett Thomas, Anthony Anaxagorou, Kayo Chingonyi, Jude Yawson, and Riyadh Khalaf will also be at the event in May.
Featuring 65 events across 31 days under the theme ‘Where Are We Now?’, the event is hosted by Arts Council England’s National Portfolio Organisation, Writing on the Wall.
Organisers said: “Where Are We Now? – what could be a more relevant question than that after the year we’ve had? The programme explores the most pressing issues in society today and we feel there is great value in discussing these through the arts and literature.”
