Author Anita Sethi will host a series of free nature writing workshops in partnership with northern festivals.
The workshops will be held this autumn for northern writers of colour and those from low-income backgrounds. The events are supported by a Literature Matters Award from the Royal Society of Literature.
Participants will also receive free copies of Sethi’s book, I Belong Here (Bloomsbury Wildlife), thanks to a recent donation from I Belong Here foundation patron Paula Hawkins.
The workshops will take place at the Ilkley Literature Festival on 3rd October, Manchester Literature Festival on 10th October and Sheffield's Off the Shelf festival on 18th October. All run from 11 a.m to 1 p.m.
The I Belong Here foundation aims to increase access to reading, books, literature and the outdoors. It was created in memory of Transworld publicist and FLIP co-founder Sophie Christopher.
