Luke Shaller will join Simon & Schuster UK as c.f.o. for its UK and international dealings in a newly created role, following almost a decade with HarperCollins.
Currently financial controller at HarperCollins, Shaller will join S&S UK in the summer and report to Ian Chapman, c.e.o. and publisher for UK International. In the newly created position, Shaller will oversee the strategic financial direction of the company and join the board. With overall responsibility for finance and operations, he will also fulfil a crucial role in liaising with the global businesses in the United States, Australia and India.
At HarperCollins, Shaller manages the group finance and sales analytics functions. Previously as commercial director, he worked across a number of different imprints including 4th Estate, William Collins, Harper Press, Avon and the Children’s Books division.
