Sky One to screen Aliens Love Panta Claus adaptation
Sky One will this December show an animated adatation of Aliens Love Panta Claus by Claire Freedman and Ben Cort (Simon & Schuster Children’s).
The one-off Christmas special was commissioned by Tiger Aspect Productions, part of Endemol Shine Group UK, and will premiere on Sky One before becoming available on Sky’s on demand platforms, including the Sky Kids app and Now TV. The episode was written by Henry Paker and Matt Lucas and Ashley Jenson have signed up to voice Santa and Mrs Claus. Romesh Ranganathan, Joanna Page and Mathew Baynton, among others, will voice the aliens.
In the episode, the aliens give away underpants because it’s Christmas and help Santa deliver all his presents by spaceship. Helen Mackenzie Smith, editorial director of picture books and novelties at Simon & Schuster UK said: “We are tremendously proud here at S&S UK of Claire Freedman and Ben Cort's fabulously funny Underpants picture books, and we couldn't be more delighted to see the festive special of Aliens Love Panta Claus being brought to Sky by Tiger Aspect this Christmas.”
The exact release date is yet to be confirmed.
