Small Press Alliance hosts free title showcase at Waterstones Piccadilly

The Small Press Alliance will host a free title showcase in Waterstones Piccadilly later this month. 

Taking place at the Waterstones flagship store in central London on the evening of 27th September, the event will feature a curated collection of its 2023 titles across both fiction and non-fiction. 

There will be speeches from authors, book signings, giveaways featuring writers such as Nikki Marmery, Fran Hill, Jon Alexander and Donna Reed. 

Olivia Le Maistre, marketing manager at Legend Times, commented: “This alliance was formed in order to amplify the voices of independent publishers and support each other’s growth in increasingly hard times.

"Therefore, to have an event which celebrates the hard work of both our wonderful authors and the publishers is such an honour and we couldn’t be more pleased that Waterstones Piccadilly are hosting us. We hope this is just the beginning of many more celebrations to come.” 

The alliance was formed earlier this year by seven independent publishers in the UK: Canbury Press, Fairlight Books, Legend Times, Cassava Republic, Muswell Press, Orenda Books and Jacaranda Books. 

The event at Waterstones Piccadilly will run from 6 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. Tickets are free and you can register for the event via the Waterstones website.
