Sophia Money-Coutts, Cesca Major and Sarah Morgan are among those shortlisted for the Romantic Novel of the Year Awards 2024.
Run by Romantic Novelists’ Association (RNA) since 1960, the awards celebrate excellence in romantic fiction and are judged entirely by readers, without input from industry professionals.
There is a strong offering from HarperCollins and Boldwood Books in particular, though a wide range of publishers are represented including Penguin, Orion, Bonnier Books UK, Atlantic Books and Legend Press.
Jean Fullerton, the RNA chair, commented: "Yet again the amazing, shortlisted books from our annual Romantic Novel of the Year Awards is conclusive proof, if it were needed, that the Romantic genre is going from strength to strength."
RNA Awards co-ordinator Sharon Ibbotson said the judges have "chosen a wonderful shortlist of books which reflect the strength, passion and dedication their authors have woven into their novels".
The winners of the awards will be announced during the RNA’s Romantic Novel of the Year Awards ceremony, which is being held at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in London on 20th May 2024.
Readers who are interested in becoming a reader-judge for next year’s awards should contact Ibbotson on rnaawards@romanticwriters.co.uk.
