Spotify expands audiobooks offer to subscribers in Canada, Ireland and New Zealand

Spotify has expanded its audiobooks offer to subscribers in Canada, Ireland and New Zealand from 9th April, and has increased its catalogue to 250,000 titles.

The offer was first launched in the UK and Australia in October 2023, before expanding to the US in November. Premium subscribers in these territories have access to 15 hours of monthly audiobook listening from a catalogue of 250,000 titles (up from 200,000).

Spotify said: “Since the launch of Audiobooks in Premium in Australia, the UK and the US, Spotify has already paid out tens of millions to audiobook publishers, who in turn pay authors in their repertoires, with more than 150,000 titles listened to since its launch.”
