New audio content has been released on platforms like Spotify to accompany the third season of Heartstopper, based on Alice Oseman’s bestselling graphic novel series (Hodder Children’s Books), released on 3rd October.
A new audiobook playlist called “This is Alice Oseman” has been launched by Spotify. It features seven titles by the author, including Nick and Charlie (Harper Fire), Solitaire (HarperCollins Children’s Books) and Loveless (HarperCollins Children’s Books).
A separate playlist on Spotify, called “Isaac’s Heartstopper Audiobook Picks”, features the “favourite audiobooks” of the fictional character. The list includes everything from classics by Jane Austen, to books about gender and sexuality, like Juno Roche’s Gender Explorers: Our Stories of Growing Up Trans and Changing the World (Jessica Kingsley Publishers), Garrard Conley’s Boy Erased: A Memoir of Identity, Faith and Family (Riverhead Books) and Angela Chen’s Ace: What Asexuality Reveals About Desire, Society and the Meaning of Sex (Beacon Press).
Netflix also launched a podcast last month, hosted by Tia Kofi, for fans who want to explore Oseman’s world, called “Heartstopper: The Official Podcast”. The show’s “Official Playlist” has also been updated with tracks from the third season’s soundtrack.
