Simon & Schuster Children’s Books has announced promotions for Eve Wersocki Morris, Olivia Horrox and Danielle Wilson in its sales, marketing and publicity teams.
Wersocki Morris (pictured) has been promoted to senior publicity manager, while Horrox has been made senior marketing manager. Danielle Wilson becomes senior key account manager. All three promotions are effective immediately.
In her new role, Wersocki Morris, who was one of The Bookseller’s Rising Stars in 2021, will take responsibility for PR strategy across the list. S&S said she has "delivered impressive PR campaigns across S&S’ children’s publishing and contributed to significant sales growth for Ben Miller, Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet, and Liz Kessler, among many others".
Horrox has led the marketing campaign for Adam Silvera’s They Both Die at the End, set up new creative partnerships to promote the picture book list and delivered "strong results" as the children’s division’s Amazon lead. In her new role she will take full responsibility for the division’s social media strategy and look for ways to deliver marketing innovation across the list.
Wilson has played a key role contributing to the success of the Supertato and Ben Miller brands. She will now take on more of a lead role within children’s sales, continuing to drive mass-market strategy at S&S as well as spearheading S&S’ sales growth through subscription boxes, schools and libraries.
Rachel Denwood, children's m.d., said of the promotions: “Olivia, Eve and Dani make hugely important contributions to our publishing every day. They are creative, strategic and full of the passion that we prize at Simon & Schuster Children’s Books. Vigorous champions of our authors and illustrators, and true experts in their fields, they thoroughly deserve these significant promotions”.
