Simon & Schuster (S&S) Children’s Books celebrated their annual summer party at Toklas in central London following the division’s "biggest year to date".
Authors, illustrators and agents gathered at the restaurant near the Strand to celebrate the growth of the children’s books team.
Guests included many authors and illustrators of 2024 such as Nadia Shireen, Benjamin Dean, Rachel Bright and Supertato co-creator Sue Hendra.
In her speech, Rachel Denwood, managing director of S&S Children’s Books, said in her speech:
“This year is set to be Simon & Schuster Children’s Books’ biggest year to date. So far, in 2024, we have launched new imprints Gallery Kids and Gallery YA, reached more readers than ever before and published the very best books to get young people hooked on reading. I’m excited to see what we will all achieve together by the end of the year.”
Gallery Kids and Gallery YA were launched in January including picture books, fiction, non-fiction and graphic novels.
