S&S reaches for the Stars in two-book deal

S&S has bought Danielle Jawando’s début novel, which is about a 15-year-old whose brother commits suicide.

Jane Griffiths bought world rights to And the Stars Were Burning Bright, and a second book, from Madeleine Milburn at Madeleine Milburn Literary, TV & Film Agency.

Griffiths said: "Danielle’s writing is completely authentic... she is a real talent."

The novel will be published in 2020, with the second title due in 2021.
