Ameet publishing, the strategic publishing partner for The Lego Group, has appointed Joanna Stenlake as creative manager and Anne Ewart as project manager/planner.
Stenlake has worked in publishing for more than 10 years and has held roles at DK, Penguin Random House, Immediate Media and the children’s reading app Pickatale.
Most recently, she worked on licensed publishing at Hachette Children’s Group. Stenlake said: “I am thrilled to have joined Ameet at such an exciting time of growth for the company and I am looking forward to engaging reluctant readers through the fantastic range of Lego Books.”
Ewart has worked in licensed children’s publishing for more than 20 years coordinating approvals at the Walt Disney Company and has held senior editorial positions at Egmont and Titan Magazines. Most recently she has worked freelance for a variety of book and magazine publishers and as project manager at We Are Cognitive. Ewart commented: “The breadth and ambition of the Lego Books list is truly inspiring and I am delighted to have joined the team at Ameet.”
Cindy Loh, publisher at Lego Books, said: “Jo and Anne bring a depth of multi-format knowledge and experience to Lego Books which will be key to supporting our unique playful reading strategy and mission.
