Steven Mackintosh to narrate Candlish audiobook

BAFTA-nominated actor Steven Mackintosh is to narrate the audiobook of Louise Candlish's 2020 thriller The Other Passenger ‚Äã(Simon & Schuster).

Mackintosh, whoh has starred in TV dramas including "Luther", and films such as "Rocketman" and "Wanderlust", said: "I loved reading Louise’s book. Vivid characters, a plot that keeps you guessing and a flavour of the excitement and challenges of life in contemporary London."

The novel is Candlish's 14th, her third to be published with S&S and the first to be acquired for audio release. It follows her 2019 Sunday Times bestseller Those People, and Our House, which won the 2018 British Book Award's Crime and Thriller Book of the Year award.

Candlish said: "I'm guessing it's rare for a character in a novel to be written for a specific actor, but I've been a huge Steve Mackintosh fan for decades and always had him in mind for Jamie. He brings him to life with such charisma and sardonic menace. This is a very special treat for audio lovers—and for me!"
