Sutton joins CAA from Curtis Brown

Karolina Sutton has moved from Curtis Brown to join Creative Artists Agency (CAA) in its London office.  

Sutton, who was named Literary Agent of the Year at the 2020 British Book Awards. has launched and championed the writing careers of many British and international authors of fiction and non-fiction, including Booker Prize and Nobel Peace Prize winners. Her clients include Margaret Atwood, Tara Westover, Imogen Hermes Gowar, Helena Merriman, Oliver Bullough, Amia Srinivasan and Katy Hessel.

She also works with Hanya Yanagihara, Haruki Murakami, Anthony Doerr and Mieko Kawakami, representing their UK and Commonwealth publishing rights. 

Sutton’s hiring follows CAA’s recent expansion of its publishing operations in London, which included bringing its translation rights business in-house.  

CAA’s books department is led by Jennifer Joel, Michelle Weiner, and Sloan Harris.
