Leicester-based independent publishers Sweet Cherry Publishing is moving to Gardners for its distribution, following the closure of Grantham Book Services (GBS). The new partnership will come into place from Monday 3rd March 2025.
The publisher has confirmed that all orders should continue to be placed with GBS up to and including Friday, 28th February 2025, after which Gardners will take over all distribution responsibilities. Full ordering details and further instructions will be shared with customers in due course.
Sweet Cherry’s Publisher, Sanjee de Silva, said: "We are delighted to be partnering with Gardners, who has been a longstanding trusted wholesaler within the industry for many years. As they move into this new area of distribution we have no doubt our customers will continue to receive their excellent customer service. The Sweet Cherry team would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at GBS who has worked so hard and are making our transition as seamless as possible."
Authorised returns of orders placed prior to the last invoicing date at GBS on the 28th February 2025 should be returned and received by GBS no later than Friday, 16th May 2025. According to the publisher, returns received after 16th May 2025 will not be processed by GBS.
The publisher added that it "extends its sincere thanks to Grantham Book Services for their many years of outstanding support and service and looks forward to working closely with Gardners to continue bringing its award-winning children’s books to readers across the UK and beyond."
