Independent Children’s Publisher Sweet Cherry Publishing has signed a UK and export distribution agreement with Grantham Book Services (GBS).
GBS will distribute Sweet Cherry’s list of trade titles from February, including books published under its imprints Clock Tower and Cherry Stone.
Abdul Thadha, m.d. of Sweet Cherry Publishing said: "Our new partnership with GBS is a huge step forward in our strategy to widen Sweet Cherry’s reach and make our books more accessible to booksellers around the world."
Until now, the award-winning independent children’s publisher has been distributing books directly from its Leicester-based warehouses. GBS is part of Penguin Random House Distribution and is one of the UK’s leading third party distributors for independent publishers.
"We are delighted to announce the partnership with Sweet Cherry Publishing and look forward to working together," said Colin James, m.d. of GBS.
Sweet Cherry recently reported sales growth of more than 21% in 2021, the same year it was awarded Small Press of the Year at the Nibbies and marked its 10th anniversary in publishing.
