Swift Press is reissuing Nicholas Hogg’s 2015 novel A Sacrifice following the film adaptation directed by Jordan Scott.
Hogg’s novel follows social psychologist Ben Munroe who returns to Tokyo to seek his former lover Kozue. Munroe’s estranged daughter Mazzy agrees to join him but on the flight to Japan she meets Koji, a survivor of a cult.
The synopsis continues: "As Ben delves deeper into the underworld in search of Kozue, Mazzy and Koji are compelled to follow, and their four lives dangerously intersect as [the] past and present collide."
The new film edition tie-in will be published on 18th July 2024. The film adaptation was released in the US on 28th June 2024 and stars Eric Bana and "Stranger Things" Sadie Sink in the titular roles. Hogg co-wrote the screenplay with director Scott.
