Pandora Sykes is launching a book subscription service with events management company Fane Productions.
Sykes is best known for her podcast "The High Low". Her new subscription service, which starts at £10 a month, will give fans the opportunity to hear about her favourite fiction and non-fiction books, provding access to exclusive in-conversation events with her and authors on the Fane TV app.
The first book will be Brown Girls by Daphne Palasi Andreades (Fourth Estate). It will be followed in March by The School For Good Mothers by Jessamine Chan (Penguin).
There are two different subscription plans available. The "Pandora’s Books Events" plan (£10 a month) includes access to online events or streams of in-person events and sees Sykes in conversation with the chosen author for that month, discounted tickets for in-person Pandora’s Books events, and a monthly newsletter.
The "Pandora’s Books Bundle" plan (£20 a month) includes at least one brand-new hardback book per month chosen by Sykes, wrapped and delivered to customers, access to Pandora’s Books’ online events or streams of in-person events, discounted tickets for in-person events, a monthly newsletter, exclusive content and more.
Sykes said: "I am so pleased to be working on Fane with this. Having worked with their wonderful team so much over the past few years, it’s a joy to formalise our working partnership into something that allows for curiosity and conversation."
Serena Brett, producer at Fane, said: "We are delighted to be partnering with Pandora Sykes for this amazing new project, having worked with her for several years on events such as ’The High Low’ live tour. It’s no secret that Pandora is someone people look to for book recommendations, so we are very excited to have created a platform that will enable people to take full advantage of her excellent taste.”
