Tamsin English is joining Hodder lifestyle imprint Yellow Kite as a senior editor.
English will start on 22nd August, reporting to publisher Liz Gough, where she will be responsible for acquiring new books for the imprint as well as project managing and editing a range of titles.
Most recently at Orion, English started out at Faber, before moving to Michael Joseph’s non-fiction department where she worked as illustrated books coordinator before doing maternity cover for the cookery publisher. She joined Orion as a senior editor in non-fiction in 2014.
Gough said: "I’m thrilled to be welcoming Tamsin to Yellow Kite and to be growing our editorial team. Tamsin has a great eye for talent and is fizzing with ideas. I am confident she will flourish here, and bring in lots of new and exciting projects to help take the list forward into the next stage of its life."
English said: "I’m a huge admirer of Yellow Kite’s publishing and what the imprint has achieved in a short time. It’s incredibly exciting to be joining such a dynamic and focused team, and I look forward to helping shape its future. Of course, I’ll miss my exceptional authors and colleagues at Orion, which has been a wonderful home."
Yellow Kite last week celebrated its success since launching under Hodder & Stoughton in 2014.
