The Oxford Literary Festival has launched a new media partnership with the Tlegraph.
The partnership will bring “added value to Telegraph readers and to festival audiences with special offers and exclusive interviews with this year’s festival line-up through editorial content, in print, online and through social channels", festival organisers said. “The partnership will also see some of the newspaper’s journalists bring their expertise to interview authors on stage.”
Now in its 27th year, the event runs from 16th March to 24th March. Over nine days, the programme of events will be staged in some of the most historic buildings in Europe, some of which are rarely open to the public.
There will be a series of debates and panels featuring writers and public figures including Nobel Prize winners, novelists such as Paul Lynch, Ali Smith, Javier Cercas and Ann Cleeves and political figures such as Lord William Hague and Sir Chris Bryant.
Festival director Sally Dunsmore said: “The festival has always provided a platform for intellectual curiosity, dialogue and debate. We are thrilled to announce the Telegraph as our new media partner to support our vision and cannot wait to welcome their readers to Oxford to immerse themselves in this year’s festival. We look forward to celebrating this year’s packed programme of 400 speakers from over 35 countries with a national and worldwide audience.”
Chris Evans, editor at the Telegraph, said: “We are very pleased to be partnering with the Oxford Literary Festival this year and are looking forward to working with their team to promote the exceptional programme of global writers and thinkers to our subscribers.”
The festival has been sponsored by various companies including Netflix in 2023 as well as the Financial Times and a 10-year partnership with the Sunday Times which ended in 2013.
