Jenny Todd is launching a new agency, The Literary Office, representing genres she has had success with over her 25-year career.
Launching on 1st October, the common thread of what she is looking for is "originality and quality”. She said: “I am drawn to writers who dare to be different; with the potential to be published in fresh and inventive ways.”
Beginning her career as a bookseller, Todd moved into publishing two years later and worked at Macmillan, Penguin and Canongate, before becoming a publishing advisor in 2018. She has worked on Booker Prize-winning literary fiction, bestselling non-fiction and branded series publishing.
She said: “A previous boss told me that I needed to be running my own thing. I have finally taken her advice.”
