Online children’s book community Toppsta will from now on allow users to compare the cost of titles from different shops after adding a price comparison tool to its website.
The site, which is an online and social media platform for reviews of children’s books by parents and children, will now list the cost of all books from retailers including Amazon, Waterstones and Wordery.
The company has also launched this year’s summer reading guide - with a reading diary, book review template and book review competition - and has hired Liz Binks to handle PR and marketing.
Georgina Atwell, founder of Toppsta, said: “I’m incredibly excited about the future of Toppsta. It’s been an extraordinary year of growth and with Liz onboard to lead our brilliant new campaign packages, drive awareness of Toppsta and advance third party partnerships, I can focus on reaching readers and launching our schools engagement programme. I’m delighted by the support we’ve received from Publishers for this year’s Toppsta Summer Reading Guide which will inspire even the most reluctant reader to pick up a book this summer.”
Toppsta launched in 2014 and now has more than 30,000 reader reviews, and more than 50 new reviews are added every day, according to Atwell.
