Trew leaves Caroline Sheldon Agency after a decade

Felicity Trew is leaving the Caroline Sheldon Literary Agency after a decade to return to a career in academia.  

She spent six of the 10 years working as an agent representing her own very list of clients, was a Bookseller Rising Star in 2016 and twice shortlisted as Agent of the Year by the Romantic Novelists’ Association. She will move to a senior role in academic administration in late February. Trew previously worked in the sector before moving into publishing.

Caroline Sheldon, the agency’s founder, said: “Felicity has been a fantastic colleague and a talented and determined literary agent – a tigress in fighting her clients’ corner – and she leaves the agency on a high. I will miss her enormously and wish her the very best in her new role. She will bring great talents with her.” 

Trew commented: “It’s been an absolute privilege working with each and every one of my authors and illustrators over the years and I have treasured working alongside Caroline Sheldon, such a legendary agent and friend. Thank you to everyone for such an amazing 10 years in publishing and all the experiences which I shall cherish and proudly bring with me on my new adventures.”
