Eoin Colfer will embark on a book tour this month to mark the publication of his first adult fantasy novel Highfire, Quercus has announced.
At the end of January, coinciding with the publication of Highfire in hardback, the Artemis Fowl series author will appear at events and signings at Waterstones Kensington, Waterstones Piccadilly, Foyles, Waterstones Gower Street, Forbidden Planet and Goldsboro Books.
His trip involves a number of national broadcast and podcast interviews, including BBC Radio 2's Graham Norton show, BBC Radio 5 Live and Sky News, preceded by an Irish book tour and concluding with a two-week US trip.
Highfire was launched as a focus title for Quercus at its "Word of Mouth Bestseller" blogger evening in October 2019 and the publisher is partnering with Damian Barr’s Literary Salon and SFX on digital marketing for the book.
It is due to publish under Quercus' Jo Fletcher imprint on 28th January. MGM Television bought the rights for Eoin Colfer’s first fantasy novel for adults, Highfire, in October and Disney is releasing an Artemis Fowl film in May.
According to Nielsen BookScan, Colfer has sold 2.45 million books for £16.5m in total, with Artemis Fowl his bestseller at 345,788 books sold (2002 edition).
