UnHerd has appointed Katie Law as its first dedicated books editor.
Law previously worked at the Evening Standard for more than 30 years, first as deputy literary editor and then as books editor. She takes up her new post at the online magazine in September.
She will oversee reviews and extracts as well as interviews for the UnHerdTV YouTube show. The appointment coincides with the launch of UnHerd’s new restaurant and club in Westminster, which will host events including author interviews, launches and a book club.
Law said: “I’ve been a fan of UnHerd and its fearless, brilliant journalism since it started, so this is my dream job."
UnHerd is an online magazine launched in 2017 by Tim Montgomerie with the aim of "pushing back against the herd mentality with new and bold thinking".
