Susannah Otter has been promoted from assistant editor to editor at Square Peg, where she will be acquiring narrative and illustrated non-fiction.
Otter has worked at Vintage since 2011, joining as editorial assistant for the Chatto & Windus imprint. She joined the Square Peg imprint, led by publishing director Rosemary Davidson, as an assistant editor in June and has worked with authors including Peter Ackroyd, Horatio Clare, Georgie Hayden, Stephen Moss, and Stuart Heritage.
Davidson said: "Susannah has been a stalwart and inspiration working alongside Rowan and me: in one short year, she has edited and seen several key titles through production with efficiency and great aplomb, and has already made a number of outstanding acquisitions for the list. I am immensely proud of her."
