Vintage has snapped up Nigella Lawson’s “delicious and delightful” Cook, Eat, Repeat: Ingredients, Recipes and Stories.
Chatto & Windus publishing director Clara Farmer acquired volume, serial, e-book and audio in UK and Commonwealth (excluding Canada) territories from Jonny Geller at Curtis Brown. The book will be published by Chatto & Windus on 15th October.
Farmer said: “Chatto has been publishing Nigella for over 20 years and her books always make us zing with happiness. Not only does she create brilliant recipes that work for busy lives, but she writes about food with an exuberance and expressiveness that never fails to lift the spirits. Readers who cook from her books always cite her writing as a particular pleasure, so it’s a joy that in Cook, Eat, Repeat Nigella’s wisdom about food and life comes to the fore, together with tasty new recipes that readers will eagerly add to their repertoire and return to again and again.”
Cook, Eat, Repeat is “a delicious and delightful combination of recipes intertwined with narrative essays about food, all written in Nigella’s engaging and insightful prose” according to the synopsis.
Lawson added: “The recipes I write come from my life, my home.”
The book will contain 50 new recipes including burnt onion and aubergine dip, butternut with chilli, ginger and beetroot yoghurt sauce, brown butter colcannon, spaghetti with chard and anchovies, beef cheeks with port and chestnuts, oxtail bourguignon, wide noodles with lamb in aromatic broth, peanut butter cake, rice pudding cake, and cherry and almond crumble.
