Walker Books and Girlguiding join forces to bring adventures into homes

This week Walker Books launched a family guide to adventure activities 100 Adventures to Have Before You Grow Up, the first children's book by author, adventurer and Girlguiding ambassador Anna McNuff.

To mark the launch, Walker Books will be hosting a social media takeover by McNuff who will be sharing a week of videos and inspirational ideas for adventures that families can do in the home and garden, starting on 6th April.

McNuff is also supporting the new Adventures at Home online resource hub from Girlguiding, the UK's leading charity for girls and women. The hub is open to everyone and features an activity a day and resources for a weekly programme of activities, along with wellbeing and resilience resources.

Girlguiding is also hosting a competition for five lucky winners to bag a copy of 100 Adventures to Have Before You Grow Up across their Twitter and Instagram channels.

McNuff said: "Kids and parents need ideas and inspiration for stay-at-home adventures more than ever at the moment so I’m super excited to be able to share 100 Adventures To Have Before You Grow Up with the world. Alongside Girlguiding’s Adventures At Home hub there’s enough to show youngsters that adventure is less about where in the world you are, and more about a willingness to stay creative, be curious about the amazing world we live in and try something new."

McNuff will also be hosting a weekly virtual storytelling session, telling tales from her adventures on her Instagram and Facebook, every Thursday at 7pm.
